Rochester Welcomes Newest Coworking Space, 429

Rochester, MI – August 15, 2023: 429 MAIN, a new coworking space, opened its doors to the community for a grand opening celebration with ribbon cutting ceremony from Rochester Regional Chamber of Commerce.

As the workplace environment shifted out-of-office in recent years, the mission of 429 MAIN developed in order to elevate the work space in an environment that promotes collaboration, innovation and creation. Partnering in this project are Kelley LaFontaine, Barron Hinsperger, Vito Terracciano and Brian Szliter.

“Our curated layouts provide the perfect space for our members and their businesses to thrive,” stated LaFontaine.

429 MAIN offers membership levels that are designed to suit the needs of a variety of business models. From providing a mailing address and mail concierge services for virtual members, to private offices large enough for multiple work stations, this new coworking space will be a hub of productivity.

Originally erected in 1914, the building was home to Greens Art Supply for nearly six decades. The developers of 429 MAIN have chosen to honor this history with a green color palette of modern vintage décor and naming of the spaces throughout.

“During the renovation process, we went into the small crawl space underneath the building. What we found truly astonished us,” Szliter stated during the ribbon cutting ceremony. “There are original beams made from old growth trees that span the entire length of the building. They’re perfectly intact and as strong as the day they were installed. Wood beams like these are so rare today, they’d be nearly impossible to replicate. This is the strong foundation we’re building [429 MAIN] on.”

The ribbon cutting ceremony was well attended by Rochester community leaders. The developers of 429 MAIN were presented with a plaque commemorating the event from the Rochester City Council, a Certificate of Special Congressional Recognition for outstanding and invaluable service to the community from Congressman John James, and a First Dollar Certificate from the Rochester Regional Chamber of Commerce.

429 MAIN would like to thank James Parker Hospitality, Detroit Light Action, NUCLASSICA and Gerych’s for their event services.
